I am a STEM teacher at Mariano Azuela Elementary School. I teach about 800, K-8th grade students. In my STEM Class, we work on various engineering projects that focus on the Creativity, learning to program and the Engineering Design Process. Students in K-1 classrooms use Code.Org to practice the block based coding. In 2nd and 3rd grade, students engage in the Everyone Can Code curriculum that uses Tynker to learn how to program in Swift. 4th and 5th grade students work on invention design and learning how and why things work the way they do. Our middle school students use Project Lead The Way curriculum as well as Swift Playgrounds and they integrate robotics into their learning.  Everyday is a new challenge opportunity in STEM at Azuela!
